My kids love chocolate covered pretzels, and they are so easy to make at home! I actually think these might be cheaper than pre-made chocolate dipped pretzels, and they make for a really tasty snack or dessert. My kids had fun making these, and made all the pretzels in the pictures below.

What you need

Pretzels
Chocolate
Sprinkles

You will also need a mixing bowl and parchment paper or another nonstick surface.

Directions

I prefer using chocolate chips, and I’m not as much a fan of candy melts. You can use milk chocolate, white chocolate, etc. If you want something like pink or other colors, you may be stuck with candy melts, since you cannot add food dye to chocolate.

Heat up your chocolate. I usually do this in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl.

We picked shallow bowls that made it easy to dip the pretzels in.

Once you dip your pretzels, place them on a non-stick surface like parchment paper to dry.

You can dip sideways, face down, all the way, or however you prefer.

I recommend a toothpick or other tool to help dig your pretzel out of the chocolate.

There are so many different ways to decorate your pretzels, between colors, sprinkles, and dipping method. You can also drizzle one color chocolate on another.
