When you think of game day, your first thought is probably, ‘What am I going to serve everyone?’ Usually, your husband has it easy.  He just invites everyone. You, on the other hand, are the one who plans ahead. You want to make sure everyone enjoys themselves while they watch the game at your house. In order to do that, you are going to want to make a big game day spread so that you will have something for everyone to enjoy.

Football Party Nachos

We have collected a list of the top treats you would expect to see at a game day party to make meal planning quick and easy for you. Here they are:

1. Nachos

Nothing is easier on game day than a nachos recipe. It’s quick, easy and you can find everything you need at the supermarket. If you prefer to put a different spin on nachos, you can always opt for something more creative, like different toppings.

2. Pigs in a blanket

You just can’t go wrong with pigs in a blanket. These are definitely a game day favorite in my house! To make these, all you need is 2 cans of Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls and miniature smoked link sausages. Cut each dinner roll into three long triangles before cooking, then wrap each sausage in dough. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

3. Cheeseburgers

Firing up the grill is always associated with game day and so are cheeseburgers. You can opt to do a miniature variation of cheeseburgers or go all out and make larger burgers. If you plan on having a large spread, however, opt for the miniature ones so your guests can enjoy a bit of everything. Don’t forget to provide toppings like tomatoes, onions, pickles and mustard.

4. Macaroni and Cheese

Try out a homemade version of macaroni and cheese this game day. It’s simple and fits well with other offerings on game day. We love John Legend’s homemade mac & cheese.

5. Chicken or Hot Wings

People simply can’t get enough of these on game day. You can make them at home or order them. If you make them at home, feel free to get creative with the different varieties of hot sauce, so long as you leave a few plain for those with simple tastes.

6. Chips and Salsa or Cheese Dip

You always find chips and salsa or cheese dip at a super bowl party. Fans love them and have come to expect them. They are the perfect snack food to appease your guests while you are finishing up the burgers on the grill.

7. Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Pulled pork sandwiches are always a crowd-pleaser. If you are just having a few guests over for the big game, you can make a regular sized pulled pork sandwiches and french fries. Like the cheeseburgers, a great option is to make the smaller version of these as well.

8. Pizza

Everyone loves pizza on game day. Try making it at home rather than ordering in. It’s simple and your guests will be impressed at your skills! Perhaps involve them in choosing toppings or make it into a game for the children.

9. Guacamole

Like chips and salsa, people love chips and guacamole. Add this to your spread for those with a more sophisticated palate.

10. Brownies or Cookies

Definitely don’t forget about dessert! Game day wouldn’t be the same without something sweet to eat after all of those nachos and pizza. Brownies and cookies are quick to prepare either at home and can be made in advance to prevent any last minute baking!

Well, we think that covers all of our super bowl favorites. You should have enough ideas now to create a large game day spread for your family, friends and neighbors. Enjoy the game!
