We have been hiking a lot of the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy Preserves. The Schiffendecker Farm Preserve is located right in Glenmont, and is conveniently located.

We used Google Maps to try to get to the preserve, and it took us to the back of Walmart. The trailhead is actually on Bender Lane, which you have to access from Route 32, since Bender Lane turns into a one-way (and you cannot get on Bender Lane from Route 9W).

Note where the parking lot is marked on the trail map.

Once we got on Bender Lane, the preserve was clearly marked on the left.

There is a small parking lot with two spaces. There is one to the left and one to the right of the trailhead.

There is a trailhead with information about the trail.

There are lots of trail markers around the preserve.

The trail is fairly flat, with a few steep sections. There are also some roots sticking out along the trails.

Despite a lot of rain, we didn’t encounter any mud (surprisingly). There were plenty of bridges and walkways.

There are some streams in the preserve.
